Phoenix, Arizona--Ryley Carlock & Applewhite announced today that Ann-Marie Anderson has joined the firm as Of Counsel. Anderson has experience in corporate transactions, securities and venture capital in industries such as technology, healthcare, financial institutions, and renewable energy. She has worked with both publicly traded and privately held companies. Anderson also has legal experience in commercial real estate, administrative proceedings, stadium development, and civil litigation. She has worked at both international and regional law firms and served as an Assistant Attorney General in Arizona, and has experience as a general counsel/vice-president to a Silicon Valley technology company.
"Ann Marie has a high degree of energy for and involvement in the Arizona business community, and has a very broad level of legal experience," Said Rodolfo (Rudy) Parga, the firm's Managing Shareholder and Chair of its Executive Committee. "We are very happy with her addition to the firm," he said.
Anderson was recently elected Chairman of the Arizona State Bar Administrative Law Council. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Phoenix Opera. She is also President of the Greater Phoenix University of Michigan Alumni Association and Vice-President of the Phi Beta Kappa Association (Arizona). She lectures before the State Bar of Arizona, Arizona State University College of Law and the University of Michigan Law School on topics such as renewable energy, the convergence of telecommunication and computing technologies and general corporate legal issues.
Anderson graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1995 and holds an undergraduate degree from Albion College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
