Louisa is an Administrative Attorney for the Document Control Group (DCG) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She provides administrative legal support to help ensure client projects are completed accurately and efficiently and brings valuable knowledge of legal discovery, data privacy concerns, and privacy laws. Additionally, as a liaison with the DCG’s Human Resources Manager, Louisa coordinates recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, and related HR activities.
Louisa has provided eDiscovery and Litigation Support to law firms and legal service companies throughout Michigan since 2008. Drawing on her significant background in the financial services industry, she regularly works on eDiscovery and document review projects for bank and financial services clients. Her experience includes securities fraud, FINRA and SEC investigations, insider trading, complex structured finance transactions, corporate bankruptcy, Trust Indenture Act violations, Derivatives Portfolios MTM Pricing, and Credit Default Swap Clearinghouse issues.
In addition, Louisa has worked on a wide range of other document review projects involving patent infringement, drug and medical device litigation, contract assignment clause review, employment agreement violations, and much more. She is familiar with numerous software review platforms including Relativity, Catalyst, Case Logisitix, iConnect and Summation. Her experience also encompasses preparing exhibits for depositions, training document review attorneys, and creating training protocols.
Before becoming an attorney, Louisa held Series 7 and 63 licenses, multiple insurance licenses and worked for several international financial services firms in retail and institutional sales.
Louisa is fluent in French and Italian.
