Gary joined Ryley Carlock & Applewhite in 2011 in the Business and Wealth Management, Estate Planning, Tax & Probate practice areas. Prior to joining the firm he was a shareholder at Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C. He has significant experience in business planning and transactions; business formations, operations and succession; estate, wealth and charitable planning; and real estate and restaurant transactions.
In the closely held business arena, Gary has an extensive background structuring corporations, partnerships, professional corporations and limited liability companies for medical practices and clinics; restaurants; retail and wholesale operations; energy resources and real estate. His commercial real estate experience includes lending; purchase and sale transactions; low-income and affordable housing; and historic restoration projects. He has structured acquisition of several low-income and affordable housing and historic projects in downtown Denver and Colorado mountain communities. He also has provided tax and business counsel to clients regarding the formation and operation of public and private non-profit organizations and charitable trusts.
Gary assists individuals and families with estate and charitable planning matters, including preparation of wills, trusts, gift and wealth planning, family businesses and charitable foundations, and non-profit organizations. He also serves as counsel to numerous public and private non-profit organizations.
In addition, he has valuable hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry.
