John J. Fries, Chair of Ryley Carlock's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy practice, has been named in the Corporate Counsel edition of SuperLawyers magazine as among the leading bankruptcy practitioners in Arizona.

John's practice for over 30 years has focused on bankruptcy and creditors' rights. He represents a wide variety of clients, including creditors, debtors, bankruptcy trustees and creditors' committees in bankruptcy, as well as landlords, tenants, vendors, and others that become entangled in the bankruptcy process. John's experience includes counseling parties in anticipation of a bankruptcy filing, representing clients in negotiation and implementation of workouts to avoid bankruptcy, planning and executing "prepackaged" bankruptcies to restructure debt on a consensual basis and arranging for sales under section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. John leads a very experienced and knowledgeable team of attorneys that aggressively enforces the rights of banks and other creditors under loan agreements from demand through foreclosure, the appointment of receiver and into and out of bankruptcy to maximize the recovery for their clients.
